Job description

We are looking for an Inventory Controller to join our team at HiTech Bay Inc. You'll be responsible for ensuring balanced inventory records and associated inventory counts, conducting inventory analysis, and implementing practices to reduce material waste due to damage, and minimize inaccurate inventory reporting activity.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Inventory Accuracy and Physical Inventory management
  • Experience in Shipping & Receiving processes
  • Expertise in Inventory Control and Inventory Management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in inventory management software is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions.
  • Maintain and ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles.
  • Supervise, schedule and assign duties to inventory associates.
  • Requisition supplies, materials and oversee in the timely receipt of all incoming deliveries according to company standards’
  • Leads inventory counts on a weekly, period end, and/or year-end basis.
  • Ensures that the appropriate stock levels are maintained at all times.
  • Verifies that the daily requisition that is to be transferred to related department is picked correctly.
  • Responsible for doing spot checks on inventory items and making adjustments in the system, when necessary.
  • Prepare reports and co-ordinate activities with other departments.
  • Able to generate forecast report for common stock.
  • Create and ensure correct sample and display rack SKUs are loaded and correct within the ERP system
  • Prepare purchase orders to the production mills
  • Investigating and identifying the root cause of inventory variances
  • Evaluate all inventory status and implement actions as required by finance department on regular basis
  • Create and Maintain a system audit process for inbound/outbound shipments

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to function in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment and capable of working effectively with all levels within the organization from warehouse team member to senior management
  • Skilled in Team Work and Communication
  • Ability to assess and solve problems efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Negotiable 

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
